Brrr....

It hit a almost FREEZING 54 degrees here yesterday, which is cold for Arizona.....but the funny thing was people and their reactions. In Utah, 54 degrees is considered a nice day during the winter months. Here, people are dressing as if it was -54, with winter coats, gloves and a shiver everytime they look outside. The 'freezing' weather was all anyone was talking about.
There are two things that make me realize that I really am far, far away from home (Utah):
*People here and their reaction to kinda cold weather...
*Strolling in a short sleeve shirt, Christmas shopping with Christmas music blaring, sun shining and palm trees lining the walk way (this part makes me love it here).
Still, I can't wait to head back for the holidays! Just don't make fun of me when I almost die from the below 54 degree weather!

We know what the little blob is....!

We had a screening done yesterday to make sure everything is going good with the little babe and to possibly find out what the sex was..........well, we found out with over 90% certainty! Our little blob is a...........

GIRL!!!!!

It is still pretty early to find out the sex but the doctor said she was 99% sure and the ultrasound tech was 95% sure. We will still have the major ultrasound in another month or two to make sure. Just for the record I was POSITIVE it was a boy pretty much the whole pregnancy, so my motherly instincts suck so far....She was adorable with her legs crossed and her hands up by her face!

Oh yeah, it's happening....

Isn't that the cutest little blob you have ever seen? It's OUR blob!!!! I am due May 28, and we are super excited!

And they said it wouldn't last...

Just kidding! You better not have said that!
Yesterday was our 3 year anniversary. It seems like yesterday....It has been an amazing 3 years and Isaac left me a beautiful note in my car promising me at least 47 more fun filled years! I think I will take him up on that!

Mexico '08

Whew. You know you are slacking on your blog when your husband who checks the blog no more than once a month tells you, " Um, babe.....our blog is turning into a word that I don't want to be associated with......BORING."
So, I'm back. From Mexico that is. How cool is it that I am only a 3 hour drive from the Sandy beaches of Mexico? And it isn't Tijuana? I love anywhere that I can buy an authentic pair of designer sunglasses for $6. Dior. And the Mexican lady promised they were the real deal. Sweet.

Isaac knows how to pick his buddies from work. Jim has an amazing condo on the beach and he has been nice enough to let us crash there every once in awhile. He rocks.

Chris and Jenny rounded out the party crew.

Ahhh....

What is more safe than a banana boat ride with a crazy little Mexican driving the boat? I can't think of anything either.

Isaac and Chris caught some HUGE fish right out of the ocean. They said that they let the really big ones go and brought back a few little ones to kill and cook up. :)

Ever since I have known Isaac he has threatened to get his last name "Trujillo" in old English across his back like a true Mexican. I put an end to that dream really quick. So what does he do? Well he got the tattoo, in old English--across his BELLY. That wasn't really breaking the rule.

Chris and Jenny got one too.
Don't worry mom. It was just a Henna tattoo. It will be gone in 4-6 days. (Don't tell Isaac, but I thought it was pretty hot)

Lounging, poolside

Seriously, $300 sunglasses for the bargain price of $6. Those Mexicans have got it figured out.

View from the condo. Not a bad thing to wake up to every morning.

Just Peachy.

I am a sucker for Peach Days. Here is what went down while I was in town....

The infamous Peach Days car show. Sometimes I brag that my little town has the biggest car show in Utah. Well, actually I just found out that it was that big this year.....so from here on out--I will brag about it.

Adorable Zhoee taking a moment in her new tutu. Possibly pondering her next dance move.?

I wanted to be a ballerina too, she had to show me how it is done.

Group shot with my Grandma

You can tell that Jadon was SO EXCITED to see his Aunt Kelsie :)

love them.

Isn't Bostyn adorable? He changes so much everytime I see him. He is such a big boy now!

April did my hair and the power went out while she was right in the middle of coloring it. It wasn't going to come back on anytime soon in her salon so I trusted her to cut my hair in the dark (there was some daylight) and went home with wet hair. She did an amazing job as usual and it was SO GOOD to see her and catch up. I miss her!

Softball

Isaac was in a softball tournament earlier this month. He loves to be able to go play and I really enjoy watching him....especially from this view...(wink, wink). I love my lefty.

Monsoon

The other night we had an amazing monsoon! There was more lightning than I have ever seen in my life. It was pretty amazing so we decided to go outside to watch. When we got out there it started POURING rain. I was minding my own business under our porch--not planning on getting wet, when my sweet husband pulled me into the rain and shoved my head under a drain that was pouring water off of our roof. Oh yeah. I was screaming so loud a few neighbors came out to make sure he wasn't killing me :) (well, I could have drowned--so I am glad that they checked on me) Needless to say....they probably think I am in an abusive relationship.

The damage: I obviously should wear waterproof mascara if I am going to be married to Isaac.

By the look on his face you would think it was his head that was shoved under the drain...

Sabado Gigante

We try to get to get together with a group of people that Isaac works with every so often for theme dinners. We have done sushi, pizza and this one was mexican. They were calling it 'sabado gigante' I don't speak spanish---so I didn't really get it. There was awesome food, great salsa and an awesome pinata stuffed with mini limes.

Look how fast I was swinging...so fast you can see right through me! Call me Casper. (no, I didn't bust it open.....almost though)

10K...mmmmk.

Oh yeah. I ran. I conquered. BUT-let me give you a little background......I am NOT a runner. Nope, nope nope. Isaac has always wanted me to and so throughout our marriage when I would feel like being a nice wife I would go out and run a mile or so (maybe 1.02 miles) with him. What would happen during the run would be an intense hate, er, dislike toward him. So I concluded it was not good for our marriage and I needed to sit the runs out. :)
Enter the Nike Plus. Turns out I can and will run when I can see my progress on my nano. I want to hear/see how far I have gone, calories burned, time, etc. Then I can HATE the voice in my ear telling my I still have 4 miles to go---instead of hating Isaac. Ahh-ha. Problem sloved.

Carlie called and talked both Ashlee and I into running in the Peach Days 5K. I thought...hmm...I can do a 5K.

Then it turned out to be a 10K.

Then Carlie ditched out.

I had to convince Ashlee to still do it with me. I think she thought I was kidding at first. Lets just say my parents let me know that out of their 3 daughters....I was last on their list of someone who would want to run a 10K....just because. Ha. I was last on my list too.

Bos and Zho with their sweaty Aunt.

Thanks for running it with me Ash! I had fun---next time we will be at the start line when they start the race :)

I. Am. Me.

I thought this was the cutest post! So I had to do it.....

i am: not a pet person. Every once in awhile I get sad that my kids probably won't get a pet in their childhood. Then I get over it.
i think: I am smarter than I give myself credit for.
i know: I will be a great mom one day--and look forward to it.
i want: to be on a beach with a virgin pina colada in my hand...catchin' some rays.
i have: to make my bed every morning. No matter what other chaos is going on, the bed must me made to make me feel like I accomplished something.
i dislike: calling people, I would rather chat in person.
i miss: my family, I feel like I miss a lot of action living so far away.
i fear: I will have a kid that does drugs and ends up on the show 'Intervention'
i feel: very sheltered. I wish I had more life experiences so that things I see here, like homeless people or illegal immigrants waiting on the corner for work, were not so shocking to me.
i smell: the body spray from bath and body works that I drench myself in everyday.
i crave: frozen yogurt...mmmmm...tart mango flavor.
i usually: wake up a dozen times during the night.
i search: gossip websites daily.
i wonder: what made Britney Spears go off the deep end.
i regret: all the people watching I do in church...I know I miss things that could benefit me in talks I should be listening to better.
i love: that the Hills is going to be on TV again soon. I am a sucker for that show and the drama that comes along with it.
i care: about what other people think about me more than I should.
i always: have to beg Isaac to go to bed. He likes to stay up late, I like my sleep :)
i worry: that 8:30 church will be to early for me :). We start at the new time next week, is it bad that I liked starting at 2:00???
i am not: the biggest fan of my last name. Trujillo (true*he*yo) does not exactly roll off the tongue.
i remember: when my dad told me that I would have to memorize my social security number....I thought there was NO WAY i could remember all 9 numbers! (don't worry, i was only like 7 and I did memorize it :))
i believe: families can be together forever.
i dance: only when nobody is around, it probably isn't the most graceful thing you have ever seen.
i sing: only when I am in my car alone. Singing is not a talent I have, but I belt it out when I am driving alone and think I sound just as good as the person on the radio.
i don’t always: realize how hard these lists are when I start them....
i argue: even though I don't fully believe my side of the argument. I should have been on the debate team :)
i write: about 6 sticky notes to myself per day as reminders and then throw them away because I think I will remember without them. I usually forget...
i win: major bonus points from my dad because I kept my maiden name as my middle when I got married, losing my other middle name in the mix. Having all girls made that important to him.
i lose: when I bid for things on eBay. I guess I don't grasp the concept and it hurts my feelings when I lose a bid. Now I just buy things I don't have to bid on to get.
i wish: baseball season didn't last so long. It seems like it goes on all year long and I have to hear about fantasy baseball all to often.
i never: enjoyed huge rainstorms and cloudy weather until I moved to AZ. I love a good storm now. It is a nice break from all the sunshine.
i listen: to Isaac play the guitar and smile that he can--but never have wanted to learn for myself.
i don't understand: how anyone could physically hurt their own children or spouse.
i can usually be found: watching the Olympics until midnight and screaming how hot Michael Phelps is. Yeah, i overlooked his slight under bite and fell in love. Isaac thinks I am crazy--but is secure enough not to be jealous.
i am scared: of child birth. It doesn't sound easy....or painless.
i need: to check my bank account everyday. What good is money in the bank if you can't see it---like, every single day?
i forget: how to upload pictures onto our computer from our camera---yep, I make Isaac do it for me---still.
i am happy: with my life, I am very blessed.

Our weekend...

A little tennis....is it possible to get worse? Because that is exactly what I did this weekend. Isaac WAS NOT impressed with my skills, but tried to be nice and take it easy on me. I think he even let me win a few games ;)

Then a dip in the pool....we were SOOO HOT after playing tennis and the pool seemed like the best idea. Until we got into it and it was like hopping into a hot tub! Not as refreshing as we had hoped! The only escape was the air conditioned house......

Is there therapy for cricket fright?

I am pathetic. It is cricket season here in Arizona and I HATE it. My heart stops when I see one jumping around--and they are all over outside. If I can hear them....I force Isaac to get out the hose and spray them down until they shut-up or I sleep with ear plugs in to block out the annoying chirping sound.
And then (gulp) last night I found one in my bedroom bathroom (shudder). Luckily, Isaac was in there when I spotted the crappy little insect and freaked out screaming at him to KIIIIILLLLL IIIITTTTT! I wanted to watch him squish the life out of it---but it made one hop in my direction and I jumped, screamed and ran out of the bathroom and assumed the fetal position on my bed. He eventually killed it. I then did a routine check of the area to make sure no friends came with him and scrubbed my bathroom with enough chemicals that they should be brain dead if they were stupid enough to trespass in my house again.
All night long I analyzed how it could have gotten in my house....Isaac did leave the door open a little bit while he was grilling some fish out on the BBQ for dinner.......what if there is a secret cricket tunnel into my house that I don't have a clue about......
Ugh. Crickets suck. Do I need to go lay down on a couch and discuss this issue with a professional?

Just because...

This was the only picture we took while they were here last month, and I miss them. Come back soon, K?

Watch out Venus...

Isaac and I decided to take up tennis. We honestly suck--but have a desire to get better. We met up with Chris and Jenny to play some doubles and suck it up together. :)

Isaac just had to put his warm-ups on. Nothing like a 100% Nylon vintage 70's jump suit in 100+ degree heat.

Yeah, the jump suit didn't last long.

Waiting out the storm...

HEY! Long time, no blog. The best part was that some people even noticed and it wasn't just my mom. :) Well, I could say that we have been super dooper busy this summer and that is the reason for the blog break....but I would be lying. We have been lazy and hibernating in the AC away from the 115 degree summer. When we do venture out it is to hang-out by the pool or go to work. BORING!
My mom and sister came to visit and that was the highlight so far this summer.(we took a whopping 1 picture--I will have to post that later). We shopped till we dropped and went tubing down the salt river. My mom managed to get hit on by more guys floating down that river than Carlie and I combined and she managed a severe sunburn. I love those girls....
We went out to dinner for the 4th and watched some fireworks as we walked back to the car. I love, love fireworks and the 4th is right up there with Christmas in my book---but, Isaac learned not to take me to watch a firework show that lasts for 45 minutes ever again after last year. Heat (111 with the sun down), apparently, makes me a BRAT. I can't help it. Admitting you have a problem is the first step right? Plus, I made up for it this year and was pleasant in the AC and the whole walk to our car under the water misters.

Isaac flew off today to head to Utah and Idaho to have a guys weekend and do some hardcore rock climbing. I thought I would be fine-- but I miss him like CRAZY already. This is mostly because it is storming like a mad man outside. My house just might blow away....Or get flooded by the downpour. And it is creepy. And I want him here to weather out the storm with....
Special shout out to CARLIE....who turns the big 2 0 tomorrow! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I love you and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Payback

Well, apparently turning 30 doesn't mean that one matures a whole lot. Case in point: last night we had just finished up with our co-ed softball game and were getting some frozen yogurt with Jenny before she headed over to Chris' house with the little treat for him. Isaac lets her know that he is planning on toilet papering his house and she can help us out if she wants. (What? This is news to me. No. I am not 9. I don't TP people anymore) She wants nothing to do with it and I let her know that we will NOT be doing that if I have my way....which I will (yeah right). SO she leaves and we get in the car and start off towards Chris' house....there is no stopping Isaac--he wants to TP Chris and I can NOT stop him......oh, and now Jenny's car will see some TP because she didn't want to help. Mature.
He gets out while I stay in the car....then I get to be the get-away driver after he rings the doorbell and runs. Ha ha, funny. We drive the 20 minutes back to our house and Isaac is pretty proud of himself.
2 hours later (around 11:30pm) our doorbell rings and I smile to myself. I know it is them and I know that Isaac will be cleaning their payback up ALL BY HIMSELF. :)

He cleaned it up and I laughed and snapped pictures.

Well played Chris and Jenny. I am sure Isaac is already planning his revenge.

Boating

Over Memorial Day weekend we went boating with some of Isaac's friends from work and their lovely ladies.

Here are the boys....

Paul got friendly with the buoy.

The crew.

Ready, set,

JUMP!

Captain Isaac

I wanted to get a 'gay' picture of the guys....to hang in their offices at work and start some rumors. They were all to happy to jump in the water holding hands!
